Idea
How much wealth is enough?
Short answer
Seneca questions whether wealth and luxury can produce a happy life. The measure is not a fixed amount but whether possessions serve sound judgment and virtue, rather than turning into masters of our choices.
Seneca distinguishes possessing wealth from being possessed by it. Money may be useful, but it cannot replace virtue or good judgment as the measure of a life well lived.
